HermitFile

Take the pages you need out of a PDF

Type the page numbers — 1-3, 7, 12- — or split the whole thing into one file per page. Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so nothing gets softer.

Your PDFs are never uploaded. They are read and rewritten on your device and never sent anywhere.

Document

Page numbers below refer to this document.

    What to take

Ranges and single pages, comma separated. 5- means page 5 to the end.

    Rotate

Rotation is stored as a page attribute, so nothing is re-rendered and no quality is lost.

    Result

Say which pages in plain notation

Type 1-3, 7, 12- and you get pages one to three, page seven, and everything from twelve to the end. Duplicates are ignored and out-of-range numbers are dropped rather than throwing an error at you. Or switch the mode and get every page as its own numbered file.

    The pages come out untouched

Pages are copied object by object into a new document, not re-rendered. Text stays selectable, vector graphics stay sharp, and a page that was 300 dpi still is. The only thing that changes is which pages are present and, if you asked for it, their rotation attribute.

Password-protected files are refused, not guessed

If a PDF is encrypted, this tool says so and stops. It does not attempt to break the password. Open it in a reader you already trust, save an unprotected copy, and split that.

    Nothing is uploaded

The PDFs people split are bank statements, contracts and scanned ID. Every mainstream tool wants those on its server. This page has no server: the parser runs in your browser, and the page's security policy blocks any connection to anywhere but this site. Here is how that is enforced.
